Oddly enough, they start behaving really politely after they double click the wrong attachment in an email, and realize that the only 'computer guy' at the club is That Blasted No-Coder. ( Disclaimer: I passed a 5wpm after three attempts, and 13wpm after 1, but I didn't take General written till after they removed code requirement. Is a seperate test required for packet? Or APRS? Of course not it is just a different operating mode imagine if you had to test for every mode you want to operate.
